Malaysia Quran Hour

Established in 2013, the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) seeks to deepen the connection with the Quran. Their primary objective is to encourage people, including leaders at all levels, to read, understand, and apply the Quran’s teachings by the year 1500H. WUIF believes this will create a stronger and unified community. Through the #QuranHour movement and Quranic Valley initiatives, they organize programs like My #Qurantime and #Quranhour campaigns to nurture compassionate individuals who embody Quranic principles. By promoting personal transformation and fostering a more united society, WUIF aims to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

“Quranising the Nation, Purifying the Ummah”

The Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) is organizing the 9th edition of Malaysia #QuranHour, themed “Malaysia Serves Virtuously: Youth Empowerment, Leaders of Abrar,” in conjunction with the 66th National Day celebration. The event will take place at Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, Putrajaya, on August 30, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. WUIF urges all Malaysians to attend the Malaysia #QuranHour on this day to demonstrate support for the campaign.

The selected Quranic surahs for this year are Al-Fatihah, Al-Insan, and Al-Asr, focusing on nurturing virtuous youth capable of leading Malaysia towards prosperity and harmony. Through this initiative, WUIF aims to inspire individuals to engage with the Quran’s teachings and cultivate virtuous characters.

Malaysia #QuranHour has gained widespread support since its inception in 2015 and forms part of WUIF’s broader campaigns, including World #QuranHour, Arafah #QuranHour, and World #QuranConvention, with a remarkable impact across 70 countries and 5.22 billion social media engagements this year. The event is organized in collaboration with media networks, government and non-governmental organizations, corporate sectors, public agencies, and diverse communities within and beyond Malaysia.

By instilling Quranic values in the youth, the campaign aims to nurture Islamic leaders with integrity and high-level skills, guiding the nation towards virtue and progress. With the theme “Youth Empowerment, Leaders of Abrar,” WUIF emphasizes the significance of empowering the youth as exemplary leaders, inspiring positive change, and contributing to Malaysia’s development.
